Orator Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

Orator is a speech-coaching app. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your practice data belongs to you, most of it never leaves your device, and we don't sell or share anything with advertisers.

Data stored only on your device

Data stored in your account (optional)

If you create an account (email + password), we store: your email address, a securely hashed password (we cannot see your password), your practice scores and statistics, speech transcripts, and flashcard progress. This exists solely so your progress syncs across your devices. Data is stored with Cloudflare (our hosting provider). You can stop using the account at any time; contact us to have it deleted.

AI coaching

When you tap "Get AI coaching," the transcript of that practice session is sent to our server and processed by our AI service provider (Anthropic) to generate feedback. Transcripts are processed solely to provide the feature. We recommend not dictating sensitive personal information during practice sessions.

Payments

If you subscribe to Orator Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We store only your subscription status.
